Back Scabbard

Carry your sword on your back in one of three scabbards. Draw it over your shoulder when selected, then sheath it again as you change slots.

About this addon

Back Scabbard shows your sword in a sheath on your back and animates drawing or sheathing it when you switch slots. It includes three scabbard styles and runic light options. The enchanted sword highlight is still under visual review.

A scabbard that moves with you.

Carrying a sword can be part of the character.

Your sword, even when it is sheathed

Equip the scabbard in the chest slot. It recognizes wood, stone, copper, iron, gold, diamond and netherite swords and shows the matching one on your back. Selecting the sword draws it over the right shoulder; changing slots sheaths it again. Each animation lasts about 0.5 seconds. In first person, inventory, attacks and sword use behave normally.

Three scabbard styles

Choose the look that fits your character.

Classic: a traditional, understated finish.
Sculk · Runic Echo: dark surface, cyan details and luminous engravings.
Umbral · Runic Veil: dark leather, violet details and runic symbols.

Runic light and enchanted swords

Runic styles can glow when the sword is drawn or sheathed, pulse every four seconds, or stay unlit. For an enchanted sword, an optional highlight combines a luminous edge and an animated reflection on its sheathed model without hiding the original design. Toggle it in Scabbard Settings.

Visual accessory

The scabbard occupies the chest slot but adds no armor points and does not change sword damage. The addon includes one behavior pack and one resource pack.

Back Scabbard already works alongside other Minecraft Bedrock addons. Its scabbards display the equipped sword and its draw and sheath animations without changing how the sword normally works.
