About this addon

Forge your defense. Inscribe a rune. Withstand one more attack. NextShield adds seven 3D shields, a Nordic altar and the Repulsion Rune. Version 0.3.110 is still undergoing visual and functional review in Minecraft.

Forge your defense. Inscribe a rune. Withstand one more attack.

Seven ways to defend yourself

Viking, Steel, Golden, Paladin, Arcane, Black and Cyan, and Abyssal Crystal shields. Each has its own craftable 3D model and works in the main or off hand. Durability ranges from 437 to 767 points; normal enchantments and one interchangeable rune are supported.

Repulsion Rune

Craft a runestone and inscribe it on any shield. Four valid blocks charge a wave that damages and pushes hostile creatures within four blocks, on the ground or in the air. The burst deals two hearts of base damage and has a six-second cooldown. Players, pets and passive creatures are excluded. If a blocked hit breaks the shield, it releases one final burst before disappearing.

Altar and illustrated guide

The compact stone Nordic altar displays the shield and runestone in their slots during the ritual. You can retrieve them or replace the rune; existing altars keep their items and function. The guide includes eleven recipes and a rune tutorial in Spanish and English, with an index, language options and animated page turns.

Information during combat

Two discreet indicators show shield durability and the four Repulsion charge steps. The discharge combines a ground wave, particles and symbols around the wearer.

Current development version: 0.3.110. Visual and functional review inside Minecraft is still in progress.
